FAQs

How old does my daughter have to be to start Angels hockey?
We typically get registrations of players starting at age 5.  Our FUNdamentals program is designed to build skills of skating and puck handling for 5 & 6 year olds.

My daughter is 11 and hasn’t played before, is it too late?
No!  We have had new players join as late as Midget (15+ years old) – even some who haven’t skated before.  The only requirement is wanting to play and putting in the work to learn the game.

How often do we practice / play?
The schedules vary a little bit.  Most of the time there is a practice or two in the evening through the week (typically Tuesday or Wednesday).  One or two games per week which are often on the weekend, but may be through the week for older players.

What can I do to get involved?
Actually, this isn’t much of a frequently asked question, but there are many opportunities to get involved.  Teams need coaches, managers, statisticians and people to run the clock etc.  The association has a Board of directors that discuss issues and options for all teams and the association as a whole.  We are always looking for volunteers.
